On Saturday, August 18, the Burbank International Film Festival is sponsoring a series of Industry panels and screenings in Woodbury Universities state-of-the-art 250 seat auditorium. Workshops will take place in multiple classrooms from 10:00am – 7:00pm.
Actors, Writers, Directors, Producers, Editors, Animators, Stunt Performers and Sound Mixers are invited to participate as both panelists and invited guests. There is an exciting panel with motion picture special effects artists who’s work can be seen in such Sci-Fi/Actionfilms as the “DarkKnight” trilogy, “Thor”, “Clash of the Titans”,“Tron Legacy”,“Terminator” and “StarWars” to name a few.
There are casting director panels that include some of TV and films best known projects, and a casting workshop with Mariko Ballentine who’s client list includes: McDonalds, Pepsi, Toyota, Chevy, Proctor & Gamble, ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS, Budweiser and Disneyland. (Be sure to bring your headshot). Talent Manager Addison Witt will moderate the casting director panel from 11:00am – 12:30pm. Addison Witt represents actors from Breaking Bad, Bullet in the Face, Touch, Awkward, Weeds, Community, and Victorious. Casting directors will discuss the ever changing opportunities in film, TV, and new media.
Wrapping up the day will be a special screening of award-winning short films from the International Cinematographers Guild, showcasing ten of the top Cinematographers in the world.
