Medicine Advisor Barbara Morris from Bilston has retired after a successful career spanning 18 years at a local pharmacy.
Barbara has lived in Bilston for the last 30 years and joined The Midcounties Co-operative Pharmacy in 1994. Since then she became a highly valued member of the team and a very familiar face to all her customers when providing healthcare products such as cough medicine and bio oil.
Barbara said: “I have enjoyed many happy times with the Midcounties and am sad to leave the pharmacy after so many years. I will miss my colleagues and customers because they were all like a second family to me.
“It is time to retire though. I am looking forward to a slower pace of life. It was fantastic to go away and enjoy a very relaxing holiday to celebrate my retirement, soaking up the sun with my husband in Crete.
“Now that I am back at home I will be spending plenty of time in the library and I am also hoping to help out with some volunteer work in the local area.”
Team Leader, Margaret Dyke, said: “It was fantastic working with Barbara and we all miss her dreadfully. We have worked together for 16 years, and were friends even before that, so we made an excellent team, bouncing off one another’s strengths.”
To celebrate her award, Barbara was presented with flowers and a retail voucher from Midcounties Operations Managers, Craig Williamson and Rebekah Brain. Her colleagues also presented her with a rotary watch.
