U.S. News determined its Best Cars for Families in 19 vehicle categories after analyzing automotive reviews in the press, reliability and safety ratings, passenger and cargo space and the availability of family-friendly features in each model. Emerging as the winner in the 2-Row SUVs category, the 2015 Murano was honored in part for its upscale cabin and optional Around View Monitor. Impressively, buyers who upgrade to Nissan’s Intuitive All-Wheel Drive benefit from the same fuel-economy rating. To protect a family’s most precious cargo, the new Nissan Murano can be outfitted with several active-safety technologies, which use up to four cameras and three radar sensors to warn drivers and, in some cases, apply braking pressure if there is a potential collision. Those optional systems include Blind Spot Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise Control and Predictive Forward Collision Warning.
