NBC’s “American Dream Builders” debuted on March 23 as a reality TV show that pits top designers against each other in a high-stakes home-remodeling competition, and Armstrong flooring has been chosen to provide the stylish products required for winning designs. Featuring prominent designer Nate Berkus as host and interior-design expert Monica Pedersen and football-star-turned-landscape-architect Eddie George as judges, “American Dream Builders” follows Team Blue and Team Red as they each redesign and renovate a home, with the defeated team losing a member each week.
Team Blue was named the winner in the debut episode of “American Dream Builders” after using Armstrong’s Century Farm scraped Maple hardwood in Burnt Almond to reimagine a kitchen in a Tudor-style home. The episode can be viewed for a limited time at www.nbc.com/american-dream-builders/video/the-premiere-weve-outgrown-our-house/2763703. For those looking to integrate Armstrong Century Farm engineered hardwood into their own homes, the product line is also available in Hickory, Birch, Cherry and Walnut woods in colors ranging from Summer White to the modern Mountain Smoke.
“‘American Dream Builders’ is going to renovate all styles of homes, from Tudor to Spanish to midcentury modern, and Armstrong has the diverse lines of flooring that can make each team’s design concept flow perfectly from room to room each week,” said Barry Greenberg, sales manager of A.J. Rose Carpets & Flooring, a Massachusetts flooring dealer. “Even if the teams are looking to reinvent a look from the past, all Armstrong products are modernly engineered to be highly durable, so they’ll retain their luster for years after the camera crew leaves.”
Another Armstrong product likely to be featured on “American Dream Builders” is the new American Scrape hardwood line, which mimics the wide-plank hardwood from old American homes in a collection of colors inspired by different regions of the country. Available in rustic Hickory or Oak, American Scrape can be purchased in shades like Rock Canyon, Amber Grain, Western Mountain and Nantucket. When it comes to durability, each five-inch-wide plank of American Scrape receives an exclusive lifetime urethane finish for high levels of stain and scratch resistance, and the product comes with Armstrong’s Lifetime Limited Residential Warranty.
