Mazda currently has three vehicles on the market that feature its full suite of fuel-saving SKYACTIV technologies, and all of them recently landed on the 2014 Best Cars for Families list from U.S. News & World Report. With the 2014 Mazda CX-5, Mazda3 and Mazda6 each topping their segments, Mazda was the most awarded brand on the U.S. News list, which was determined by automotive reviews, safety and reliability ratings, interior space, and available family-friendly features.

Both the Mazda3 and Mazda6 recently proved the strength of their SKYACTIV bodies, with each car earning a 5-Star Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in its New Car Assessment Program. To obtain the government agency’s top crash-protection rating, the 2014 Mazda3 achieved five-star scores in frontal and side-impact testing while securing four stars in the NHTSA’s rollover evaluation. On the other hand, the 2014 and 2015 Mazda6 sedans received five-star side-impact ratings and four-star ratings in the frontal and rollover tests.
