12/27/2012 (press release: OnlinePR) // UK // Rachael Jones or Sarah Stevenson

Kidderminster Pharmacy Technician Angie Robinson has celebrated a record achievement, clocking up a quarter of a century’s worth of service.

Angie, who works at The Midcounties Co-operative Pharmacy in Franche Road, was presented with her award by Deputy Chief Executive Andy Cresswell.

Angie said: “I was very surprised and happy to have been presented with the award. I really enjoy working with Midcounties and this demonstrates how much they value their colleagues.”

Having spent 10 years at the Foley Park Co-op pharmacy in Kidderminster, Angie transferred to Franche Road to work flexible hours after starting a family and has been working there for the past 15 years helping customers with cough medicine and finding cheap toiletries.

Angie added: “Midcounties has really looked after me and helped me to progress within my career. I started as a Sales Assistant in the Society and moved up to become a Dispenser some years later. Since then I have again progressed to Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) thanks to a great training programme.

“I enjoy the work very much. It’s a good mixture of great colleagues, friendly customers and challenging tasks throughout. I hope to be here for a good few years to come.”

Adrian Wilkinson, Pharmacy Group General Manager, said: “I would like to congratulate Angie on her achievement. She is a great member of the team and we are lucky to have her.”

To celebrate her award, Angie received a bunch of flowers and £250 worth of

Co-operative vouchers.
