Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has netted three times for England

Harry Maguire scored a late winner for England in their World Cup qualifier against Poland after John Stones’ error had gifted the visitors an equaliser.

It was Stones who headed on a corner kick for Maguire to thump home in the 85th minute.

The Manchester City defender had earlier given the ball away to Jakub Moder, who made it 1-1 after the break.

England had taken the lead through Harry Kane’s penalty in the first half after Raheem Sterling was fouled.

Gareth Southgate’s side have won all three of their World Cup qualifiers, while Poland, who were without star striker Robert Lewandowski, have only won one.
