NFM Lending congratulates Gladys Marcelin, Branch Manager in Stockbridge, Georgia, for receiving a 2015 Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia Gold Award.
The Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) is made up of Georgia mortgage lenders and other mortgage industry professionals. According to their website, MBAG “is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the mortgage banking correspondent system.” MBAG members are encouraged to be involved in Association activities, to participate in continuing education courses each year, and to uphold MBAG standards of professional ethics.
The Gold Award program recognizes MBAG members who have met and exceeded these standards. To be considered for the MBAG Gold Award program, members must have closed a minimum of 100 units during the current calendar year, have made the minimum contribution to the Good Government Fund (GGF), MBAG’s PAC, and have completed at least five credits’ worth of continuing education credits.
“Helping homebuyers getting residential loans is one of the most challenging jobs, but I do like my job and I am committed to serve more than anything,” said Marcelin. “I believe I have 2 limits in life: the sky and my mind. And I tell everybody: Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and above all don’t let anyone limit your dreams.”
Several members of NFM Lending attended the awards ceremony in support of Marcelin’s accomplishment: LaTasha Rowe, General Counsel; Greg Sher, Vice President of Business Development; Brooke Anderson, Recruiting Team Lead; and Bonnie Stewart, Branch Manager of the NFM Lending Smyrna Branch.
“We are honored to attend this event with Gladys and support her in celebrating a great accomplishment,” said Rowe. “She and Bonnie Stewart, the branch manager at our Smyrna location, have been a great addition to the NFM family.
