Grease Lightning Asks Public to Help Food Drive Again This Year

10/25/2012 (press release: jimijamm) // Batavia, NY // Jimi Jamm

For the 2nd year, Grease Lightning automotive shops in New York, Maine and Illinois will initiate their holiday “Give To Live” food drive, donating customer contributions of food items and money to an area organization who will give these goods to the underprivileged.

From October 29th to November 17th, anybody who makes a non-perishable food item donation at a Grease Lightning location will get a $10 off coupon on their next oil change. Those without donations can donate $1 or more at ring out and write their name on a paper turkey which will be placed on the wall of that location.

The company’s Director of Marketing, Jimi Collins, is a veteran of numerous food drives. “Hunger is a year round concern, not just during the holidays and the ones most affected are the children of families who can’t provide the basic nutrition they need.”, says Collins. “The best thing about ‘Give To Live’ is that the donated food and money will stay locally in each market. We ask the public to help us make the holidays better for those who need help.”

Locations are listed at www.mygreaselightning.com by entering a zipcode in the “Find A Shop” box.
