J Metro has been working hard lately, preparing for the release of his new EP, and in doing so he has recently unveiled new single “Magic” as the lead for his debut project. With so much being put into his latest project J expects this new album to be his most successful release to date.
Magic has been said to be a true work of art by many industry professionals and djs, as they all give their opinions of the record. CPG gave “Magic” a 8 out of 10 for it being one of the best songs they have heard. With the song catching the attention of so many “Magic” is sure to become one of the top songs of 2015. J Metro stated with Break Away Daily: “Magic is my latest single from my new EP, and it has so much soul into it, I know everyone will feel it.”
J Metro, had his latest break, with single “Bodyguard”, peaking at number 12 on the hot singles chart for Billboard Magazine. Also at the same time having one of his previous released singles “Frosty” being considered for a Grammy Nomination. Having a successful streak continuing to come for the artist is really proving to be exactly what he needs to break into today’s enormous entertainment industry.
“My People (All Over The World)” was released in 2010 peaking at #82 on the Billboard R&B Hot 100, #3 HotSingle Sales, #2 Hot R&B Single Sales, and #4 Bubbling Under R&B/ Hip Hop Singles “Alcoholic Logic” was released in 2011 following the release of the album and placed on the following billboard charts, #2 Hot R&B Single Sales, #8 Hot Single Sales, #16 Bubbling Under R&B/Hip Hop Singles.
Second Album “Metropolis Saga”, released February 19th 2013, has three billboard Charting singles to date in hit songs “Baby”, “Shades of Gray” and “Governor’s Anthem. Single “Shades of Gray” became the artists most successful billboard charting single peaking at #1 on the Hot R&B Singles chart.
J Metro has achieved increased levels of success with latest singles “Frosty” and “Bodyguard”. “Frosty”, released in December 2013, was honored by the Recording Arts Academy for it’s commercial success by being entered into the “Song of the Year” and “Solo Pop Performance” fields in the first round of voting consideration for the 57th Grammy awards. Latest single “Bodyguard” is distributed through Sony/Orchard Distribution and Spaced Out Magazine and first entered billboard charts in January 2015
J Metro has opened Faith Evans, Brian McKnight, John B, Mary J. Blige, Maurice Star, Allen Stone and Bruno Mars at the Arena theater and Warehouse live Music venue in Houston Texas. In 2013 J Metro toured West Africa as the headlining American artist in the Jazz A Ouaga Music Festival located in Burkina Faso. J Metro has recently been added to the Ambassadors list for Geneva, Switzerland.
His new single has so much soul and creativity, it gives you more of look into his artistry, and him being a musician. Magic will officially released on March 24 through The Orchard, and a distribution platform by Sony Music Entertainment.
