J.D. Power: Buick Leads Mass-Market Marques in Service Satisfaction

For the second straight year, drivers who visited a Buick dealership for service left more satisfied on average than those who sought service at a dealership for any other mass-market brand, according to J.D. Power’s Customer Service Index (CSI) Study. Buick repeated as the top mass-market brand in the research firm’s 2015 CSI Study, which is based on the feedback of more than 70,000 owners and lessees of vehicles from the 2010 to 2014 model years.

To measure the satisfaction of customers who visited a franchised dealership for maintenance or repair work, J.D. Power rated feedback in five service areas, including the heavily weighted service-quality category, as well as service initiation, service facility, service advisor and vehicle pick-up. Based on this information, each auto brand was scored on overall service satisfaction against a 1,000-point scale. Buick bested all mass-market brands with a score of 836.
