King Mohammed VI offers assistance to Gabon’s mosques

As Commander of the Faithful, HM King Mohammed VI accompanied by Gabonese President, Ali Bongo Ondimba performed Friday prayers at The Hassan II mosque of Libreville.

Following this prayers, the sovereign donated ten thousand copies of the holy Koran to the authorities in charge of the management of Gabon’s religious affairs.

These copies are issued by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Holy Koran Publishing and will be distributed in Gabon’s mosques.

This is the first batch of holy Koran copies offered as part of the implementation of the royal instructions, to the Foundation, on meeting the needs of western African countries for Koran copies according to the Warsh version from Nafi, chosen by the Kingdom and these countries.

The Hassan II mosque where HM King Mohammed VI performed the Friday prayer had been renovated, upon royal instructions, by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs for a total sum of 8 million dirhams.
