Lexus Dealers Excel Once Again in J.D. Power Customer Service Index

According to J.D. Power and Associates, customer satisfaction with repairs and maintenance is improving significantly at car dealerships across the industry, but Lexus dealers continue to be unmatched in the service department. In its 2013 Customer Service Index (CSI) Study, the consumer-research firm ranked Lexus highest among luxury auto brands for the fifth consecutive year, giving it a score of 862 out of 1,000 to surpass Cadillac, Jaguar and Acura at the top of the list.

For this year’s CSI Study, J.D. Power surveyed more than 91,000 owners and lessees of 2008 to 2012 model-year vehicles, measuring their satisfaction with both independent and dealership service centers. Lexus performed especially well in service initiation, facilities and quality. Overall, drivers showed higher satisfaction with maintenance and repair work performed at dealership facilities than with the same services performed at independent shops.
