HM King Mohammed VI arrived Tuesday in Mali, the first step of an African tour that will take the Sovereign to Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea Conakry and Gabon.

Since his accession to the throne in 1999, the Moroccan monarch has perpetuated the long-standing relations with Mali, and very old with Guinea , Cote d’Ivoire and Gabon.

The outbreak of the crisis in Mali was an opportunity to illustrate the presence and solidarity of Morocco both bilaterally and regionally.

Morocco has also become a very significant force for development in Africa, both with the continued expansion of its financial institutions across the continent and a push by other enterprises in broad range of sectors with significant growth prospects in the coming years, including agriculture, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.

Morocco’s willingness to advance a secure and prosperous Africa makes it one of the most reliable, strong and stable partner in the region to sustain the U.S. Strategy toward Sub-Saharan Africa .
