Matthew Ziff is Hollywood’s New Heartthrob

Matthew Ziff is an actor, producer, and director. As an actor Matthew has worked in various genres in such films as Mansion of Blood (Robert Picardo), Hard Flip (John Schneider, Rosanna Arquette), Among Friends (Danielle Harris, Jennifer Blanc), Six Gun Savior (Martin Kove, Eric Roberts) and Treachery (Michael Biehn, Richard Gunn). In 2012, Hollywood Magazine named him “Hollywood’s Newest Heartthrob”. In addition to acting, he has been involved as a producer, (“Never a Neverland”).

Not only was he considered a top child model, called upon constantly for magazines, clothes and toy boxes, While Ziff’s role in the reboot has not yet been announced, he is looking forward to the remake.

He’s best known for his film Treachery. He co-starred with Michael Biehn; an estranged father who reunites with his son, only to have things unravel when a thunderstorm traps them in a cabin, forcing the family to reveal deeper secrets. That role garnered Ziff the “Best Actor” award at the 2014 Hoboken Film Festival. He was also honored with the “Rising Star Award” at the Florida’s Sunscreen Film Festival; which is supported by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This is not the first time Stovall and Van Damme have worked together. He was also action director on Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning. Bringing to life real family drama, lies, and secrets, Treachery dives into the deep roots that bind a family and the darker untruths that family can create. Travis Romero (TV’s “White Collar,” The Victim) wrote and directed the film, which centers on a man (Biehn) who is reunited with his estranged son (Ziff) at a remote wedding party. When a storm strands the party, ugly hidden agendas are revealed.

Matthew Ziff began his acting at a remarkably young age. Ziff reveals, “I was born and raised in New Jersey. I started modeling when I was two months old for baby clothing. I went to a boarding school in New Jersey called Blair Academy. It was there that I got into theater-I did a lot of theater and played a lot of sports.” Matthew’s introductory comments continue, “I currently am in my senior year at the University of Miami. Two years ago I moved out to Los Angeles and I now travel back and forth.”

Matthew Ziff is also a producer which is even more remarkable considering his workload and his age of 21 years! He has taken on the role of being one of the producers of the film, Savior” which is currently lensing in Southern California. Ziff explains, “It is a really cool project that we got involved in. It is a supernatural western! Because of his engineering background, he was featured in Exxon Mobil’s TV Spot “Be an Engineer”. Ziff plays five instruments and collects rare bass guitars.
