Long considered Megadeth‘s most accessible album, “Countdown to Extinction” will be getting the spotlight once again this November. The best-selling CD was originally released in 1992, which probably feels like just yesterday for many of the band’s diehard fans. To celebrate its 20th Anniversary, Megadeth will be touring US cities immediately following the release of a commemorative album-set. The set will include the remastered original album, a live concert recording from 1992, four collectible postcards, and a 24″ x 36″ poster. It is the tour itself that will likely have longtime fans clearing their schedules. The “Countdown to Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour” will consist of Megadeth playing the original album in its entirety. Tickets for these shows can already be purchased from TicketHurry.com, and will be available from the box office beginning Friday, Sep. 14. The announced tour dates can be found just below.
