About Menice:

Some music artists are that rare breed who truly came into this world to make hit records! Menice, born Timothy Dollinger is one of those artists. Growing up in Atlanta, Ga., he met a talented producer at the young age of 17, and started writing and recording. Eventually, the process and Menice’s natural leadership traits turned this two-man operation into a small Independent Label run by Menice.

As with any fledging start-up, financing became an issue that Menice chose to deal with head-on. Wanting creative control of the music produced by his label and not willing simply to settle for the record deals on the table, which would have seen Menice give up that control, he joined the military in 2003. Menice began working on his album after returning from his first tour of Iraq while stationed in Hawaii. There he started performing as V.P. in the camp promoted by Stay Drunk Records whose associated artists included Grimmy, Nutty, Unknown and J Hussle.

Menice released the critically acclaimed single “The Way She Move” in November of 2008 nationally and shot a video directed by Shabaka Collier and featured Alana Rodriguez and Kansas Patrick from hip hop magazine The Source. The video received over 180,000 views and grew the Menice fan base tremendously.

On April 25th 2009, Menice won the 2009 Great lakes region Unsigned Hype Hip-Hop Artist of the Year award from radio station WBLK in Buffalo, N.Y., and enjoys an incredible
amount of support for his fan base in around the Rochester and Buffalo N.Y. area.
After the success of “The Way She Move” and numerous concert appearance dates, Menice released “Stay On My Hustle” which debuted on mainstream radio including Clear Channel, CBS Radio, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and Cable TV’s Music Choice. This Urban/Top 40 style smash quickly caught fire, and in addition to the mainstream radio play it received over 1 million MySpace plays.

In 2010 Menice teamed with Bronx Bridge/Fontana/Universal to release “Sweet Like Candy” which immediately garnered success. The single peaked at number 7 on Billboard’s Hot Top 100 and rose to number 3 on Billboards R&B/Hip Hop single chart(refer to BS and Mediabase). Menice received over 10 million plays of his music on MySpace and continued to grow his already large fan base through social networking outlets, touring, and promotion.

The success of “Sweet Like Candy” expanded Menice’s fan base throughout the US, and propelled a nation-wide tour financed and supported by Menice and his M&R International label headed by Menice himself and Richard Baker.

In August of 2011 Menice decided to add Beatmill to the team in a consulting, management and production capacity including creating Hip Hop Loops, and is hard at work on delivering Menice’s new album “You’re Welcome” to the urban world.
