nexMatrix expands facilities in preparation for Asia-Pacific expansion

10/29/2012 (press release: nexmatrix) // Nampa, ID, USA // Kevin McMahan

nexMatrix, headquartered in Nampa, Idaho, is the manufacturer of the Protel line of IP-PBX hardware, a full-featured phone system available in sizes ranging from under ten extensions to thousands or more. The Protel PBX is distributed throughout North America by a network of value-added reseller partners, with plans for expansion into Australia.

The company has recently opened a new office in Nampa, ID for manufacturing expansion. The new office is an important step in realizing the company’s goals for opening new global markets. The company has decided on the Asia-Pacific region for the start of it’s expansion opportunities.

“Not only are the Philippines a crucial gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, but the country offers very favorable conditions for the strong, sustained growth of technologically advanced new businesses” said Dianne Ursini, CEO of nexMatrix Telecom. “The new office provides an important step in realizing the company’s goals of expanding into global markets while remaining competitive in the region,” Ursini added.

The Philippines is a strategically placed group of islands at the heart of South East Asia. Historically the trading hub for the Spanish for 400 years and subsequently the United States for 100 years, the Philippines is a well-established resource for telemarketing, manufacturing and technical development. Its geographical location, along with safe free-ports and warehousing make it an ideal transshipment hub for trade to and from the Asia-Pacific for the nexMatrix Protel PBX line of products.

The new facility, located in Dumaguete City, is currently staffed by 7 full-time employees, with plans for growth over the next year as the company expands its presence in the region. Dumaguete City is one of the top 10 upcoming cities for business processes in the Philippines, making it a perfect choice for nexMatrix.

nexMatrix chose to establish a location in the Philippines based in part on the rapidly growing installed base of businesses. nexMatrix plans to grow this base by providing a viable and cost-effective alternative to Cisco, Panasonic, Samsung, NEC, Avaya, and others by enabling the region to take advantage of a comprehensive, end-to-end portfolio of innovative technology solutions that is unavailable from any other manufacturer.
