Organizers Announce Winner Of The Hero Bride Wedding Giveaway

Dallas businesses join forces to provide dream wedding for military couple

/EINPresswire.com/The voting is complete and the results are in for the Hero Bride event, which provides a dream wedding for one lucky bride serving in the military or engaged to a member of the military. The Dallas location of bridal fashion designer Rosa Clará launched the event and invited other Dallas businesses to donate to the cause.

To choose the specific bridal dress for the dream wedding, an online vote was held on the website of popular Dallas publication D Magazine. The online voting featured 10 Rosa Clará dresses modeled by Dallas celebrities and socialites including Nicole Barrett, Amy Havins, Kelli Feldman, Lindsey Snyder, LeeAnne Locken, Melissa Newton, Ashley Roberts, Kristin Smith, Krystal Schlegel, and Danielle Vollmar. The models’ profiles and their dresses can be seen at www.herobride.com.

After almost 5,000 votes were cast, Kristin Smith and her Rosa Clará dress Eclipse were selected in a very close contest. Kristin is a Dallas wardrobe stylist and partner to Dallas Cowboy’s safety Gerald Sensabaugh.

On Friday morning November 9, the models and the participating businesses gathered at Rosa Clará to make the announcement of the winning dress, and also meet the Hero Bride for the first time.

Jonille Alexander was selected by US Army personnel to be the giveaway recipient. Ms. Alexander served 8 years in the Army, and is engaged to Sergeant Darlenzo Hines who is currently serving in the Army, continuing his 17-year career in the armed forces.
SFC Hines worked diligently with event organizers to keep the wedding giveaway a secret from his fiancé. Therefore, the event Friday morning came as a complete surprise to Ms. Alexander. The announcement turned out to be an emotional affair.

Along with the bridal gown, the bride-to-be also receives the following gifts from these other Dallas wedding vendors:

Low Country Quisine: Reception Catering

Frosted Art: Wedding Cake

Kelly Alexander Photography: Wedding Photography

Virtuous Reflections: Bride’s Makeup

Skintastic: Bride Makeover

TroyRichard Salon: Hairstyling

Floss Dental: Teeth Whitening

Pounds Labs: Photo Production

Hakim Sons Films: 3D Photo Montage for Wedding

The dream-wedding giveaway is the idea and creation of Mayela Putegnat who owns the Dallas franchise of Rosa Clará, which is a fashion design house based in Barcelona, Spain. “It started with just a tiny idea of our store donating a wedding dress to a woman who is brave enough and dedicated to serving our country in the U.S. army,” commented Putegnat. “Now it seems to be getting bigger every day. It’s so awesome that our friends in the Dallas wedding industry have helped out and with D Magazine and our beautiful models, Hero Bride is more than I could’ve ever imagined.”

Putegnat did add that she is working to procure other services like a venue and men’s formal wear for the dream wedding. She encourages other companies to participate in the giveaway.

Ms. Alexander and SFC Hines hope to marry in the spring.
