On Thursday, November 29, the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria, Minnesota is hosting an incredible event for snowboarding fans and athletes. There will be a screening of the Nations Foundation’s film, ANTHROPOLOGY.
This is the Nation Foundation’s second snowboarding film. ANTHROPOLOGY dives into the lives, relationships and culture of snowboarders. Professional snowboarders, Nick Visconti, Simon Chamberlain, Jordan Phillips and friends take viewers deep into the culture of the popular sport.
Not only will the event feature the documentary, which starts at 7 p.m. that evening, but visitors will also get the chance to meet two of the featured snowboarders from the film, Nick Visconti and Ryan Paul.
Visconti is a California native that has been snowboarding since 1998. According to his ESPN bio, he has a flair for the unusual in both life and when he rides, and he tries to stay away from industry standards. Ryan Paul is a Minnesota native from Cottage Grove. Look for Paul to spin on and off of obstacles, as he is known as a versatile rider who likes both rails and ledges.
The event is free to the public, and there will be a drawing to win a free Zion Snowboard. For more information about the film and Nations Foundations, please visit http://www.nationsfilms.com/.
