The Rapid City skyline has changed forever offering a sustainable glow with the official crowning of the newly branded downtown Adoba Eco Hotel exterior signage package. Teaming up with Lauretano Sign Group, a national provider of eco-savvy signage products, Atmosphere Hospitality Management Services owner of the Adoba Eco Hotel brand continues to forge their way down a path of sustainability.

The unveiling of the new Adoba Eco Hotel sign is the latest sustainable enhancement to the property, which is one of Rapid City’s most recognizable buildings. The environmentally-friendly signage was designed and fabricated by Lauretano Sign Group, an industry-leader that specializes in sustainable sign solutions.

As the hotel continues to strive toward LEED certification, and reducing its carbon footprint, property owner Karim Merali, stated, “Joining forces with the Lauretano team was a great recommendation by the Adoba executives. This sign package was custom-designed for the hotel, constructed with up to 85% recycled plastic and finished with coatings that contain VOC levels at or below the requirement of the USGBC Green Seal GS-11 rating. This new sustainable horizon is quite welcoming for the city and is the talk of the town.”

Further green aspects of the preferred Adoba Eco Hotel signage package include: illumination by GE LED systems containing no mercury, lead or glass and offering an energy savings of up to 90% over neon and fluorescent light sources. The LEDs within the sign last up to 50,000 hours, which calculates to 17 years when lit for eight hours a day. Upcoming projects between Lauretano Sign Group and Atmosphere Hospitality Management Services will include solar sign lighting and renewable energy strategies that can quickly and affordably be added to the design package.

“As one of the nation’s leading green sign companies, we are pleased to have created and designed this one-of-a-kind branded-sign package with the Adoba team by developing an attention-grabbing monument and channel letterset package. We look forward to a long-term preferred partnership with the first LEED certified Independent Hotel Branded concept said Patrick J. Byrne, President and CEO, Lauretano Sign Group, Terryville, CT.

Other elements of the green transition include: the hotel’s well-known 3 diamond Enigma Restaurant has launched an upscale organic inspired dinner menu while using local vendors, solar thermal system for water heating, low flow water fixtures, LED lighting in every guestroom and public space, carpet tile in guestrooms, a baler/compactor for waste reduction, amenity dispensers, and the brand’s custom designed eco-friendly bedding package called “green dreams”. Six of the guestrooms (suites) will be named after endangered protected areas in South Dakota.

This is an exciting time to become a member of the Adoba Eco Hotel & Suites development family. For broader information on our performance-fee plan based approach meaning no traditional franchise fees, conversion strategies, renderings, and sustainable practices visit http://www.adobaecohotel.com.
