Sainsbury’s has organised its very own celebration for the upcoming Queen’s Jubilee, in the form of the much-anticipated Jubilee Family Festival.

The festival, which is to take place from Saturday 2nd June to Sunday 3rd June from 10.30am to 7pm, is to be one of the biggest family-orientated festivals to ever be organised in London. The event will be held in Hyde Park, which is one of the eight Royal Parks in London, and is expected to welcome 50,000 people on each day.

The Sainsbury’s Jubilee Family Festival is designed for families that want to be able to get involved with the Queen’s Jubilee, while also enjoying a whole host of thrilling entertainment and activities. All ages will be able to find something of interest, and many big-name celebrities and stars will be attending the event.

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said: “The Jubilee Family Festival will help make this weekend a truly memorable one for anyone wanting to be at the heart of the action.”

The performing arts promoter Harvey Goldsmith CBE has organised the Sainsbury’s Jubilee Family Festival and acts such as musician Myleene Klass and impressionist on Culshaw, amongst others, will be welcomed onto the main stage over the weekend.

A special performance by Strictly Come Dancing and a newly-choreographed rendition of the incredible theatrical production War Horse will also appear at the event. No Queen’s Jubilee celebration could end without a fitting finale though, and as such on each day of the Jubilee Family Festival there will be a unique Disney experience, with the best-loved Disney characters taking the stage to wow the audience.

There will also be a special kid’s zone featuring children’s TV characters, and on the Commonwealth Stage ticketholders can be amazed by worldwide performances. If you think that’ll be your lot though, you’re sorely mistaken! The Parade Ground will also welcome a huge range of Great British performances, such as marching bands and stunt display teams.

Of the celebration, Sainsbury’s CEO, Justin King, said: “We are delighted to stage this wonderful festival, which will reflect many elements of The Queen’s 60 glorious years as monarch and head of the Commonwealth. We aim to provide a fun-filled, family-focussed festival, in one of London’s most beautiful and iconic Royal Parks.”

Tickets are currently available from Ticketmaser and Seetickets. Adults tickets are £20, under 16 tickets are £12.50, family tickets are £52 and children under three will be granted free entry.
