Seamless Network Development from 3SDL

/EINPresswire.com/ UK based defence and security acquisition specialists, 3SDL, will be demonstrating its Variable Message Format (VMF) Initialisation and Planning software application, VIPA, at the International Data Links Symposium (IDLS) taking place in Athens in October.

Already used by the UK Ministry of Defence, VIPA gives network managers the capability to plan a VMF network quickly and easily and then to distribute a universally compatible mission load file to ensure optimum communication between networks.

VIPA generates an industry standard xml initialisation load file through its intuitive windows interface which is universally accepted by Mission Planning Systems (MPS). The initialisation file is then sent to all of the platforms in the network – both aircraft and ground mission planning systems.

Jonathan Burton at 3SDL, says, “VIPA ensures the network dependent parameters required for interoperability between platforms, are common between all participants on the network. It makes a network designer’s task easier, quicker and reduces the likelihood of operator error.”

The intuitive user interface significantly reduces training requirements, and coupled with the software’s expandable capacity, make VIPA a cost effective low-risk solution for network development.

Alongside its VIPA demonstrations, 3SDL will also be offering delegates an opportunity to learn about TacPlan, the latest data linking planning tool to hit the market, as well as information on the wide range of training courses it runs at venues across the UK and throughout Europe.

Find out more by visiting Stand 5 at IDLS from 17-19 October, www.3sdl.com, emailing ricki.gleeson@3sdl.com or calling 3SDL on +44 (0)1684 878 170.

Now in its twelfth year, IDLS is the flagship annual event hosted by the International Data Links Society. The show offers high calibre delegates from across the globe opportunities to network, learn about the latest industry developments and meet suppliers.
