King Mohammed VI offers spiritual and humanitarian aids to Mali

As part of his official visit to Mali, HM King Mohammed VI devoted this Friday to several religious and humanitarian actions.

As Commander of the Faithful, the King accompanied by Malian president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita performed Friday prayers at the Great mosque of Bamako.

Following this prayers, the sovereign donated to the authorities in charge of the management of Mali’s religious affairs, ten thousand copies of the holy Koran in order to distribute them in Mali’s mosques.

As part of Morocco’s humanitarian assistance to the Malian people, HM King Mohammed VI and President Keita chaired the foundation stone laying ceremony to build a modern and integrated perinatal clinic. This clinic will have a capacity of 74 beds, 500 births per year with the possibility to perform up to 200 C-sections, 1,400 admissions yearly in intensive care for mothers and 470 admissions yearly in neonatology and neonatal intensive care.

HM King Mohammed VI also showed his support for Malian agriculture by handing a donation of bovine semen for the benefit of Malian breeders.

The donation is made up of 125,000 doses of bovine semen as well as five boxes for artificial insemination and five containers for semen storage with six canisters.

The equipment includes also five storage containers for liquid nitrogen, 200,000 palpation gloves and 100,000 insemination ducts.
