In honour of Remembrance Day the Book People will be offering deals on military history products, so customers can remember those that fought during the First World War.
Remembrance Day is held on November 11th every year to commemorate those that gave their lives for their country during World War I, and those that would like to pay their respects this year may want to check out the Book People’s latest book deal.
The Book People is the largest independent bookseller in the UK, and this November it will be increasing its selection of Military History branded products, so that those interested in marking Remembrance Day and finding out more about the First World War can do so.
From October 30th, customers of the Book People will be able to purchase a wide range of books on the First World War, including biographies, reference books and the best fiction books that detail World War I.
Customers will be able to pick up books such as ‘The Military History Book’ from the Royal Armouries and Nicholas Murray’s book ‘The Red Sweet Wine of Youth’, which depicts the lives and war experiences of some of the best WWI poets. Sidney Rogerson’s gripping first-hand account of life in the trenches in ‘Twelve Days on the Somme’ will also be available, as will Michael Morpurgo’s amazing children’s fiction book ‘War Horse’, which is now also a film.
Those signed up to the Book People’s mailing list will receive an alert in the next email from the retailer when its collection of new military history books are in stock. Those that aren’t signed up can do so on the official website, or can check the site to see when the books are available.
Donna Stevenson, at the Book People said: “Remembrance Day is one of the most important days of the year, and at the Book People we want to ensure everyone understands and remembers the sacrifice that these men gave during the war. World War I is also a very important part of world history, so children and teenagers could do well to learn more about the events.”
The Book People also sells a range of history books on the Second World War, along with other titles on military events throughout the years. Those that are fascinated by this part of history should visit the Book People’s official website now.
